PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Proposal Outline:

This partner search is for:

ACTIVE AND ASSISTED LIVING PROGRAMME - ICT for ageing well

http://www.aal-europe.eu/call-challenge-2018/

Call deadline 28 May

Sarita Caretech IVS – founded in 2015 – develops a solution for elderly homecare
that combines hardware and software into a seamless care experience. The primary functionality of Pearl + Lighthouse is remote monitoring. Elderly people clip-on a Pearl and lead their lives independently, while data is collected. The constant connectivity eliminates monitoring burden, and automated alerts lower uncertainty from the caregiver’s perspective (e.g. when an elderly falls, the caregiver is notified and can call via the Pearl). With this R&D project, Sarita wants to open the existing Lighthouse monitoring platform to enable the addition of other wearables or sensors that can better inform care scheduling and remote support. This is primarily an integration effort based on the almost-mature Lighthouse Cloud acting as the hub for all connected sensors / devices. The data from 2 new sensors (and many more sources in the future) will merge within Lighthouse to improve communication tools and ease routine care. The activities include 1) R&D development to host selected partner ICT devices under Sarita Lighthouse platform, 2) market validation of the solution with a test partner caregiving facility.
